
Ardre|Orie, CEO of 13th & Joan Publishing House is gearing up to empower 100 black men to become authors through a literacy initiative that she has organized called 100 Seeds of Promise. The idea for the initiative came in response to Orie’s desire to make a difference in the face of injustice.
When asked why she established the 100 Seeds of Promise Literary Initiative, Orie had the following to say “If we don’t document our stories, these most valuable blueprints for those who come after us will cease to exist. I am ever saddened by the fact that the voice of the black man is often silenced through acts of crime, brutality, and injustice. Our stories must be told.”
